Job Title: Laboratory Operations Manger | Location: Newport, RI | Full-Time

Description of Work:

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions company that develops, implements, and maintains mission-critical solutions for Federal and Local Governments.  We have an immediate opening for a Laboratory Operations Manager supporting our U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center customer. 

Responsibilities: 

Laboratory Operations Manager will:

• Manage a team of technicians and IT professionals supporting two laboratories and a mobile laboratory.
• Maintain schedule of personnel to ensure facility coverage during operational hours and test event coverage.
• Participate in laboratory operations tasking including: Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, media center operations, equipment calibration tracking, visitor control, requisition and transmittal preparation, test event coordination, asset coordination and scheduling, and log maintenance (work requests, data transfers, media transfer requests, etc.).
• Support equipment maintenance and resolution of issue reports.

Qualifications: 

The Laboratory Operations Manager must have:

• Professional experience in leading a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of laboratory spaces.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Warfare (EMW), and related Special Projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in leading a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of laboratory spaces.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of Government mobile laboratories.

Preferred Skills & Experience:   

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Outlook and other software used on Navy workstations.

Experience with Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS).

Candidate must have a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
