Job Title: IT Support Intern | Location: Middletown, RI | On-Call

Description of Work:  Candidate will support the IT department by:

• Providing Tier 1 troubleshooting for end user issues.
• Taking responsibility and ownership of IT-related support telephone calls and e-mails.
• Providing application support to employees for computer software and hardware.
• Assisting with new user setup.
• Troubleshooting, upgrading, maintaining system applications and ensuring quality customer service.
• Providing oversight of maintenance on network printers and connectivity.

Qualifications: 

• Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Work-related experience in the field of IT Support is a plus. Security certifications are a plus.

Familiarity with most of the following:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 through 2019.
• Configuring desktop and laptop computers with Windows 10.
• Working knowledge of standard network protocols.
• System deployment experience.
• Knowledge and Experience in Microsoft products including Office 2016 and SharePoint.
• Working with or administration of Office 365 and Azure

Candidate must have excellent telephone and communication skills.  Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.  Attention to detail is required, along with the ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.  Must be able to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously, as required.  This position may require a modified or flexible work schedule or extended hours.
