Job Title: Electronics/Acoustics Engineer | Location: Bethesda, MD | Full-Time
Description of Work:
PURVIS Systems is seeking an experienced Acoustics Engineer to provide general engineering support on Navy equipment for acoustic acquisition and analysis.
Responsibilities: This position is a member of the Submarine Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) Team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) for tasks including:
General engineering support
Software acceptance testing both dockside and occasional underway
System technical assistance
Acoustic analysis
Navy Technical Design Agent assistance
Logistics and supportability for acoustics systems
May require occasional travel to submarine homeports
Qualifications:
Desired experience includes signal processing, underwater acoustics, and Submarine Total Ship Monitoring System operation (TSMS)
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering desired (Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar), though significant technician experience may be substituted.
Candidate must have a SECRET clearance.
