Check Out Our Life Critical Technology for Fire Department Alerting

We understand the critical role technology plays in response times, and we make it our mission to implement solutions that empower our clients to handle emergency situations quickly and safely.  When every second counts, you can count on PURVIS’ industry-leading knowledge and guidance to meet your exact needs.

See below for more specifics on some of the system components and device options.

Station Control Unit (SCU)

The SCU is responsible for receiving the incidents (or alerts) at the fire stations and then activating/updating all the appropriate electronics. Additionally, the SCU is responsible for playing ramped fire department pager tones and messages over the station’s speakers. The SCU is available with or without a touch screen display that allows local user interaction with the system.

Message Boards

The Flat Panel Message Board is a high definition display that is wall-mounted and configured to show key incident alert information, such as address, cross streets, responding units, incident type, and turnout timer, as well as situational data, such as an active incident list, whiteboard information posted by the Department, weather map, and more.

Red/White Ramped Lighting

The Red/White Ramped Lighting illuminates bunk rooms and hallways to provide safe egress at night. Enable safe, heart-friendly alerting by utilizing the red light at night to reduce the startle effect of a nighttime alert and preserve night vision.

Turnout Timer

The Turnout Timer is a dedicated wall-mounted LED timer display. The Turnout Timer begins counting upward in one-second increments when the incident is received at the fire station. The timer continues to count upward each second until the incident clears in the station.  The optional Unit Presence Detector detects when the apparatus has left the drive bay and  Logs the time in the FSAS database. Turnout Time reports are available for Turn-Out Time data analysis.
