FD Dispatch CAD Software also includes FD Mobile which is a wireless dispatching application for use on a laptop computer in fire apparatus. FD Dispatch CAD [computer aided dispatch] Software uses the very latest wireless technology to integrate FD Mobile with all other FD Manager software products creating a fully integrated Fire Department Management and CAD software suite.
FD Mobile includes Incident Responder which allows the officer to notify the dispatcher that they are responding to an incident, view addresses and their map, and view and update preplans. Wireless connection uses a CDPD wireless connection - can be used with high speed wireless connection as well.
