Job Title: Contracts Administrator | Location: Middletown, RI

Description of Work: The Contracts Administrator will report directly to the Contracts Manager, this position provides day-to-day contract and subcontract administration support.  The Contracts Administrator will prepare and review contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements. Negotiate terms and conditions.  Monitor contract/subcontract performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.  Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence. The Contracts Administrator may participate in cost proposal development/review. Perform special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience: Candidate for Contracts Administrator must have a minimum of 5 years of practical work-related experience in contract and/or subcontract administration. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline is required; equivalent work experience may be substituted. Experience with Costpoint and DoD is a plus.

The successful candidate for Contracts Administrator must have the following skills and experience:

  • Solid understanding of the practices, procedures, and processes of contract administration.
  • Experience working with cost reimbursable, T&M, and fixed price contract types.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with minimal supervision.

Mechanical Engineer (Pocasset, MA)

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position for a short-term (4 month) assignment.

 Description of Work:  The Mechanical Engineer will support the design of prototype of systems and subsystems. The Mechanical Engineer will support the development of a design package.

Qualifications: Mechanical Engineer should be an experienced machine designer proficient in all aspects of:

IETM Developer (Pocasset, MA)

We have an immediate opening for an IETM Developer.

Description of Work: Develop IETMs, including, but not limited to operations, preventative and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists.

The IETM Developer will participate in IETM verification and validation, customer conferences to ensure manuals conform to contract requirements, and identification of supplier manual content requirements, and the conduct of peer reviews.

The IETM Developer will also assist in the development of illustrations, graphics and flow diagrams to support documentation; and support contract deliverable documentation.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: The IETM Developer must have a strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including rules of composition and grammar, and a thorough understanding of style guides and specifications. Should also be able to adhere to and implement such standards to technical documentation.

  • Experience with editing and production tools (i.e., FrameMaker, MS Word, Arbor Text, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
    Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage complex tasks from inception to end
  • Good customer interface skills and understanding of customer needs.

Skills/Tools Required:

  • XML authoring
  • Adobe: Highly experienced in self-paced development efforts in the Adobe Tech suite tools including FrameMaker 2017, Illustrator 2017, Photoshop 2017, Acrobat DC
  • Microsoft Office

Job Title:  Logistician | Location: Norwich, Connecticut

Looking for a self-driven candidate with experience as a Logistician.

Description of Work:  Working with the team, the Logistician will develop job material lists from drawings and enter material information in the correct database. The Logistician will support the following tasks:

  • Research potential qualified vendors and pricing for parts.
  • Provide general support to Engineers.
  • Prepare and package materials for shipping.
  • Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation.
  • Receive materials, confirm items correspond with the bill of lading.
  • Visually inspect received items for damage and verify the dimensions.
  • Input received items in database and document the files.

Qualifications:  Logistician must have at least 2 years of experience in:

  • Shipping and receiving materials to and from vendors.
  • Working with various databases and inventory management systems.
  • Working with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Looking for a self-driven, senior level candidate with advanced design/drafting experience.

Description of Work:   Working on-site at customer location, the Sr. Computer-Aided Designer/Drafter will support the following tasks:

  • Support mechanical and electrical engineers.
  • Prepare and update complex drawings to original designs that require a high degree of precision and drafting knowledge.
  • Ensure the problems in manufacture, assembly, installation and operation are resolved by the produced set of drawings.
  • Independently exercise judgement in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of the design requirements.
  • Working at a level that involves more advanced design/drafting assignments and knowledge.
  • Working closely with and provide support to junior level designer/drafters.

Degree/Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school Degree in Drafting, or CAD certification.

Designer/Drafter must have 7 to 10 years of experience in generating 3D and 2D drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor software.  Experience working with Word, Excel and Access.  Candidate will work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Navy military and Civilian personnel.

Business Development Consultant (District of Columbia)

Job Title: Business Development Consultant | Location: District of Columbia

Consultant will identify Federal Agency opportunities and win new contracts (prime and subcontract) related to the company’s engineering, public safety and information technology services, in the Washington, DC market area.  This position is also responsible to provide recommendations concerning the company’s strategies that might enable expansion into Federal Agency market areas.   Individual will have direct customer contact, may attend conferences and trade shows, and will also be responsible for opportunity identification, capture planning, proposal strategy and proposal development support.

Consultant will be responsible for identifying and scheduling meetings with potential customers, agency representatives and business partners.  Individual will work closely with PURVIS business development and technical personnel in all aspects of opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit, proposal development and closing.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree a plus
  • Experience in business development with Federal Agencies, such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), Veterans Administration (VA)
  • Experience in and knowledge of the Federal procurement processes
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with prime contractors
  • Prior management or business development experience in Federal Agencies. Successful track record of closing new business opportunities in the Federal Government marketplace / Experience with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is preferred.

Assignment may require travel outside of the National Capital Region to other company locations and customer facilities up to 10% of the time.

Description of Work:

Consultant will work on marketing, market research, and new business development.  Work requires strong communication skills and effective interaction with a variety of managers and technical professionals.  Additional duties include research, proposal and presentation development and support, as well as developing sales/promotional materials. Duties will include:

Systems Installer/Technician (Rhode Island)

Job Title: Systems Installer/Technician  | Location: NUWC Division Newport

Qualifications: Technical School or apprenticeship program in related field of electrical or electronic support. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of electronic technician work experience.

Additional considerations will be given to individuals with working knowledge of:

  • LINUX and/or Window operating system
  • Ability to Interpret schematic layouts

  • Naval Sonar, Fire Control and Electronics Tech

Individual must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the SECRET level.

Description of Work: Candidate will be a member of the team that assembles finished products using sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners. Fabricates and assembles cable harnesses, wire electrical chassis and electrical boxes.

Specific duties include:

  • Travel will be required for system installation.
  • Work with installation and engineering groups on mechanical and electrical layout/design of product updates and new product releases.
  • Fabricating and design cable harnesses and wire assemblies.
  • Wiring of electrical cables.
  • Research sources for installation/lab/office materials.
  • Develop bill of materials.
  • Develop installation kits for use by system installers for product installation.
  • Document and report work performed.

Candidate will be required to lift, pull or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements. This position may require travel with minimal notice. Going underway on a submarine for a couple of weeks may be required.
