PURVIS created a dedicated, citywide Voice communications system for the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) to improve emergency communications. The Voice Alarm system gives dispatchers at the Central Office (CO) two-way communications with one, many or all fire stations in the city by simply pressing a button. This is expandable to allow remote device control, including features such as automatically turning on lights to notify fire fighters of an alert and opening garage doors allowing trucks to leave.
